The Southwestern Serenity Rosary - aka Tia Berta's Rosary

The first rosary I ever made that sparked this entire passion craft! (Story featured at the bottom.)

Blending rustic charm with Marian reverence, this rosary stands out as both a spiritual keepsake and a unique piece of artistry. It brings together the warmth of Southwestern design with the peaceful grounding of natural stones, creating a devotional piece that is both stylish and deeply meaningful.

Key Features

At its forefront is a turquoise-colored cross adorned with silver and copper patina details, echoing the bold, rustic character of Southwestern style, and a vibrant reminder of faith, strength, and tradition.

At the center rests a Virgin Mary Miraculous Medal centerpiece, beautifully framed with an intricate filigree flower design adding such grace to the rosary.

The Our Father beads compliment the cross and add an airy beauty with its ornate carved metal hallow beads, contrasting nicely with the earth tones of the Hail Mary beads.

The Hail Mary beads are a captivating mix of texture, color, and material grounding the rosary in warmth and natural beauty. Beads include: earth-tone Brown Jasper beads with a glossy, marbled finish, matte coated glass beads in a soft mint-turquoise hue, flash glass beads in a rich opaque gray, two-toned silver crackled glass beads, featuring one solid side and one clear side revealing the intricate, shimmering crackle within. Lastly, matte coated charcoal glass beads, adding depth and balance with its velvety finish.

  • Hail Mary bead size: 8mm
  • Rosary length: 20in
  • Rosary weight: 3.9oz
  • Cross size: 2.44" x 1.5"

As for the story... I created this rosary (only three weeks before launching this website) for my 82-year-old Aunt Berta in Texas. She had gifted me her fabulously beaded and fringed Houston Rodeo jacket from the 90s - a piece I finally wore in 2025 after it spent years tucked away in my closet. Every week, she gathers with the ladies of her senior home to pray the rosary. This was my 'thank you' gift to her. A fellow mom in my daughter's class taught me how to make a rosary, and then I set off to carefully choose every detail, drawing inspiration from the spirit of the jacket my aunt gave me. From this simple gift, a true passion craft was born. It took off in a way I can't even explain. Just a week and a half after making my first rosary, I found myself at my church's craft fair with 24 of my own designs laid out before me. And now a website. It all feels surreal, but through the power of the holy spirit, here we are! I'm so happy you're here!
